working principle

The isolated flyback converter is a 32 V, 2.2 A (70 W) power supply that provides 126 W of peak power (temperature dependent) in a short period of time.

The design uses a voltage multiplier for dual voltage operation (SW1, C4, and C5) at 115/230 VAC input. Diodes D5 and C15 perform AC line voltage sensing, which provides undervoltage (UV) latch protection against output voltage disturbances and fast AC reset.
