According to the data, MOCVD is the main equipment used to produce LEDs. In order to encourage enterprises to develop the LED industry, many local governments in China have financial subsidies for the introduction of MOCVD. Previously, on January 12 this year, domestic LED giant Sanan Optoelectronics threw out 12 billion yuan of LED Wuhu Industrial Park investment plan, including the purchase of 200 MOCVD. The Wuhu Municipal Government announced at that time that it would give a total subsidy of 8 million yuan for each of the red and yellow MOCVD, and give a subsidy of 10 million yuan per blue-green MOCVD.
It is understood that the current international price of MOCVD is about 4.4 million US dollars per unit, which is close to 30 million yuan in RMB. That is to say, Sanan Optoelectronics has previously received subsidy standards of between 26% and 33%. It can be seen that the subsidy standard of the Hangzhou Municipal Government for Shilanwei is significantly higher.
At the same time, through the above information, it is not difficult to calculate that the government subsidies for 30 MOCVD will be around 360 million yuan, roughly equivalent to five times the annual net profit of Silan.
However, even with 40% government subsidies, the remaining 60% of the funds still need to be resolved by Silan, and this part of the funds reached 540 million yuan, equivalent to 8 times the company's full-year net profit last year. Obviously, this part of the funds is still a lot of pressure on the company's finances.
However, the introduction of 30 MOCVD will also greatly increase the production capacity of the company's LED. According to the company's recently released 2010 semi-annual report, the company's net profit during the reporting period achieved a high growth of 602.48%, and the increase in LED shipments became the main driving force. .
On the other hand, Silan Micro's vigorous introduction of MOCVD is also a necessary means to deal with fierce competition in the industry. According to the industry research report of the 2010 China LED Chip Enterprise Industry published by ledinside, a research institute in the industry, China will be in the next few years. More than 1,200 MOCVD stations are planned to be added, of which more than 300 MOCVD plans are planned for 2010, and at least 6 of them have more than 100 MOCVD plans.
