After years of development, TFT LCD panel makers have gradually reached ally relations with downstream customers because both parties can obtain greater benefits from this partnership. Peng Shuanglang, AUOâ€™s executive vice president, said that the LCD panels they shipped to their cooperating customers accounted for 30% of their total shipments, and their operating model has also shifted from being alone to being an alliance.

AUO is still actively making alliances with customers such as TCL, TPV, Haier, and Changhong this year. Peng Shuanglang pointed out that in addition to LED backlight LCD panel shipments, their alliance with customers is also another three quarter profitable one. the reason.

AUO benefited from this alliance policy, which resulted in shortened packaging and delivery times and lower production costs; downstream customers can give priority to panel supply in the event of tight panel supply.

Recently, Samsung and LG have obtained approval from related domestic authorities for the construction of an LCD panel plant. Peng Shuanglang believes that Taiwan authorities' restrictions on investment policies in the Mainland have made Taiwan's panel makers disadvantageous.

AUO expects global shipments of LCD TVs to reach 220 million units this year, and mainland China will reach 45 million units.
