RS will provide 25 resistor kits

RS Compountents (RS), a trading brand under the company Electrocomponentsplc Group Inc. (LSE: ECM), a leading global distributor of electronic and maintenance products, announced the exclusive availability of 25 resistor kits. These kits are based on the selected TE Connectivity fixed resistor series.

It is reported that these TE resistors use thin film or thick film resistor technology to provide a cost-effective resistance measurement platform for a wide range of applications with unique features. Six of these kits revolve around TE's RL73 series of surface mount (SMD) low resistance thick film current sense resistors to provide lower power consumption in designs such as low voltage power supplies and battery management applications. These devices have special metallic glaze resistors and a nickel gate under the solder to extend the life of the terminals.

At the same time, eight more kits are based on the RN73 series of high-stability precision resistors. The power dissipation of these resistors varies with the size of the die (between 0402 and 2512). The device's temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) drops to 5ppm/°C, while the resistance tolerance is very low, reaching 0.01%. These SMD thin film resistors are manufactured using three sputter layers for optimum performance.

In addition, there are nine kits using TECPF series resistors that also provide a highly stable and sophisticated development environment. This series of thin film resistors offers a TCR as low as 15ppm/°C, and a tolerance of 0.01%.

All of these kits are based on RN73 and CPF high-precision devices, and their resistance values ​​meet the requirements of the Electronic Industries Association (EIA) IEC63E96 and E24 standard values, and are preferred for high accuracy and small tolerance requirements. The two series resistors have a uniform physical size and are easy to mount in telemetry, sensing circuits, communications, industrial control, and medical applications.
