From the dismantled DSO, we found that the Spartan-7 FPGA manages the data transfer from the DSO's 1G sample rate ADC to the DSO's sample memory. Tested by Xiaobian, the oscilloscope can acquire up to 30,000 waveform samples per second, and its SDRAM signal collection buffer can capture up to 65,000 waveforms. In Figure 2 we see a lot of length-matched signal lines between the top of the Spartan-6 and the fast SRAM acquisition memory; and the length-matched signal lines from the bottom of the FPGA to the SDRAM waveform acquisition memory.
