Abstract: Residential street lighting system is part of building intelligence, but it is difficult to implement due to problems such as wiring and cost. With the rapid development of computer technology, wireless network technology is becoming more and more mature. ZigBee wireless network is very suitable for wireless street light control applications because of its low cost, low power consumption and long transmission distance. This paper introduces the characteristics of residential street lighting system, combined with ZigBee networking technology, designed a set of ZigBee wireless network technology community street lighting system application, through experiments to prove the feasibility of this technology in the community street lighting monitoring, has a certain Practical value.
1 Introduction
The residential street lighting system is a relatively closed power system, which is different from the street and highway lighting system and is controlled by the power system inside the cell. Modern community intelligent building control should include community street lighting system, which makes the district lighting more energy-saving, environmentally friendly, more humanized and personalized. The lighting system is uniformly regulated by the district's electrical control center. In order to realize the unified control of the lighting system, it is necessary to install a control module and a communication function on the illumination street lamp, which leads to an increase in cost, so that the remote unified control cannot be widely applied. ZigBee is a wireless network technology based on 2.4 G band. It has the characteristics of low power consumption, long transmission distance, strong network, low cost, etc. It is very suitable for network control with small amount of data and many nodes. Used in the field of Internet of Things. In this paper, a cell lighting control system based on wireless sensor technology is designed. Under the premise of no network cabling, low-cost centralized control of street lights in the cell is realized, so that the intelligentization of the lighting system of the cell can be realized.
2. Residential street lighting system
Residential street lighting is a very important part of community construction. Although it is the same lighting system, it is different from public lighting (such as street, square, highway, etc.). The street lighting is controlled by the community, and the electricity cost is also borne by the community owner. Therefore, residential lighting needs to take into account factors such as individualized control, energy saving, and security. In addition, with the improvement of people's living standards, people's requirements for living environment are also higher and higher. The living environment has become an important place for leisure, relaxation and enjoyment of life. The district lighting has evolved from the simple lighting of the past. A kind of landscape system engineering, people pursue not only the subjective feeling of brightness, but also the enjoyment of vision and body and mind [1]. It can be seen that the residential lighting system can not simply copy the ordinary lighting system. Personalization, energy saving and environmental protection are an important part of modern community design.
With the rapid development of the information industry and the computer industry, intelligent building technology has developed rapidly. Various automation systems such as building automation, communication automation, office automation, and home automation have emerged. The most common use of modern residential buildings is security systems and access control systems. Parking system, etc., the lighting system in the community is not applied much, the main reason is: the communication light of the residential street lighting system to the intelligent building system mostly uses the bus type and the power line carrier, and the bus type needs to lay the network communication line. Wide distribution, complicated wiring, high cost, if using power carrier mode access, although no additional network lines are required, but expensive modulation and demodulation equipment is required, and the cost is difficult to reduce [2]. Therefore, how to costly add the street lighting system of the community to the intelligent building control system of the community is the key to resolve the contradiction.
3. ZigBee
ZigBee is a low-power LAN protocol based on the IEEE802.15.4 standard. It comes from the bee's eight-character dance, because bees rely on flying and "zig" to shake the wings of the "dance" to convey the position information of the pollen with the companion. Compared with other wireless network protocols, the ZigBee network protocol has significant features as shown in Table 1. Bluetooth and WIFI technology have high speed, but ZigBee has inherent advantages in transmission distance, power consumption, cost, etc. It is especially suitable for sensors and control applications with low data volume.
3.1. ZigBee Technology Overview
ZigBee and IEEE 802.15.4 are standards-based protocols that provide the network infrastructure needed for wireless sensor network applications. 802.15.4 defines the physical layer (PHY) and media access layer (MAC). ZigBee defines the network layer (NWK) and application layer (API), as shown in Figure 1 [3]. Thus, ZigBee is a very complete wireless network solution.
