Recently, a number of media disclosed that China's new standard for energy efficiency of inverter air conditioners, "speed-controlled room air conditioners, energy efficiency limit value and energy efficiency rating" has been completed and entered the approval stage, will be formally implemented on June 1. According to the new standard, the current 3, 4 and 5 energy-efficient high-energy-consumption air-conditioning products will be withdrawn from the market in June.

Market access threshold improvement At present, China is implementing a five-level energy efficiency rating system. From grade 1 to level 5, the level of energy efficiency is gradually reduced. Due to the increase in energy-saving requirements, air-conditioning manufacturers no longer produce four- and five-level energy efficiency air conditioners in the past two years. Only grade 1 to 3 air conditioners are still on the market. Among them, only grade 1 and 2 air conditioners enjoy state subsidies at the time of purchase, while grade 3 still belongs to highly energy-consuming air conditioners, and there are no subsidies for purchase.

According to the "speed-controlled room air conditioner energy efficiency limit value and energy efficiency rating" provisions, variable-frequency air conditioning energy efficiency limit will increase from the current 3.0 to 3.9, energy efficiency rating to 5 standards for the 3 standard, market access The threshold increased. The new standard will eliminate the current level 3, and will decrement the current level 1 and level 2 to level 2 and level 3, and add a level 1 standard at the same time. This also means that the air conditioners marked with energy efficiency class 3 will no longer be allowed to produce and sell after the new standard is announced.

Air-conditioning prices or more "close to the people"

Air-conditioning energy efficiency rating increases, air-conditioning prices will not be "high rise" Analyst Yan Qiuping believes that, according to past experience, with high-power air-conditioning out of the market, before the end of May, whether it is home appliance manufacturers or stores, will "Stir-fry" new standard of energy efficiency, clean-up sales of existing non-compliance air-conditioning, so these levels of air-conditioning prices will be reduced, the ultimate goal is to lay a good foundation for price increases in energy efficiency products. It is understood that Jinan Gome, Suning and other home appliances stores are promoting sales of air-conditioning, a more than 7000 yuan of high-consumption inverter air conditioners and even directly reduce the price of 2,000 yuan.

The first level of the new standard is a brand-new standard. At present, there is no more detailed policy issued to explain which manufacturers' products meet the standards. Therefore, in the blank period of policy, the entire market may experience slight price increase due to the improvement of energy efficiency standards. However, with the long-term perspective, with the entry of more manufacturers and the improvement of technology, air-conditioning prices will gradually fall back.
