SIA: Global semiconductor sales revenue reached US$25.22 billion in October

The report found that semiconductor sales in the Americas from August to October increased by 15.5% from semiconductor sales revenue from May to July.

SIA President and CEO Brian Toohey said that despite the severe global macroeconomic environment, the global semiconductor industry still shows impressive flexibility this year. The total sales revenue in 2012 will continue to lag behind 2011, but this gap has narrowed in recent months, mainly due to the increase in sales in the Americas.

In 2013, global semiconductor sales revenue will reach US$303 billion, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year. In 2014, global semiconductor sales revenue will reach 319 billion US dollars, an increase of 5.2% year-on-year.
