Vishay Releases New Slope-Controlled P-Channel High-Side Load Switch

Probe domestic switch needle KG-300K needle head diameter is 3.0mm normally open switch needle

Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the introduction of a new rising slope controlled P-channel high-side load switch - SiP32458 and SiP32459 that can operate from 1.5V to 5.5V. Both devices feature an integrated gate pump that provides stable 20m? low on-resistance while maintaining low quiescent current. The device uses a small 6-bump wafer-level CSP package (WCSP6) to control the turn-on voltage rise slope at 4.5V to 3ms, limiting the inrush current of a capacitive or noise-sensitive load design.

In order to achieve higher efficiency, the load switches released today have a switch on-resistance of 30mΩ and 26mΩ at 1.5V and 1.8V, and an on-resistance of 20m? at 3.3V and 5V. Both switches support 3A continuous current, and quiescent current as low as 4.2μA allows battery-powered devices to operate longer. When disabled, the SiP32458 provides a reverse blocking circuit to prevent large currents from flowing into the power supply; the SiP32459 integrates an output discharge switch that allows the load to discharge quickly when the load switch is disabled.

The SiP32458 and SiP32459 WCSP6 packages have a small footprint of 1mm x 1.5mm with a pitch of 0.5mm and are laminated on the top side for enhanced mechanical durability. To save space, the load switch uses a lower input logic to control the threshold voltage, allowing direct connection to low voltage I/O pins without the need for an external level shifting circuit or a higher voltage gate driver. Both devices offer an integrated 2.8M? pull-down resistor on the EN pin of the control logic.

The SiP32458 and SiP32459 can be used for portable electronic products such as smartphones, GPS devices, digital cameras, media players, notebooks and tablets, game consoles, medical and healthcare equipment, and load switching in industrial meters. The device is RoHS compliant and halogen free.

Samples of the SiP32458 and SiP32459 are available now and are in volume production with a lead time of twelve weeks.

Application: flow meter measurement

There are many kinds of USF used in closed pipeline according to the measuring principle, and the most commonly used are propagation time method and Doppler method. Among them, time difference ultrasonic flowmeter is used to measure fluid flow by the principle that the time difference of sound wave propagating downstream and countercurrent is proportional to the velocity of fluid flow. It is widely used in raw water measurement of rivers, rivers and reservoirs, process flow detection of petrochemical products, water consumption measurement of production process and other fields. According to practical application, time-difference ultrasonic flowmeter can be divided into portable time-difference ultrasonic flowmeter, fixed time-difference ultrasonic flowmeter and time-difference gas ultrasonic flowmeter.

Ultrasonic flow-meters use at least two transducers aligned so that ultrasonic pulses travel across the flow of liquid or gas in a pipe at a known angle to the flow.
