According to the technical experts of China Mobile and Intel at the launch meeting, the OTII server focuses on the future business needs of the operator network IT application scenario. The project will introduce technologies such as network acceleration and NUMA balancing; unified hardware BIOS settings and device management interfaces; as much as possible to unify core device selection and hardware form, etc., to enhance server performance, stability and compatibility, and improve deployment and operation and maintenance efficiency. To better support the development of future telecommunications services.

At present, the OTII project has determined the responsibility of division of labor, mainly including four major aspects:

Fourth, the terminal server manufacturer will improve the overall design, R&D and trial production of server hardware based on Intel motherboard reference design and user requirements.

It is reported that the OTII project has been officially completed in the ODCC server working group and has received positive response from the ODCC member units. At present, more than 10 companies including Huawei, Inspur, Lenovo, Shuguang, Zhongxing, Fenghuo and Xinhua have participated in the project. Mainstream server and component suppliers, it is expected that more manufacturers will join the project.
